|I am currently exeepirncing the same problem with a photosmart 6510. This is what I have found out Even though the specs' on the web page say that the printer can accept sizes from 3.5 5 to 8.5 14 it's not really capable of true custom sizes. When i looked further into the specs (and I dont' remember where I found it), it turned out that the custom' sizes, were only present custom sizes. So for instance, I couldn't do a 4.75 4.75, my custom size, but I could pick from a present list of custom' sizes that the website told me were the available sizes. Again, I have looked so much that I dont' remember where I found the preset size list, but after 3+ conversations with HP, they still haven't solved my problem. My old' HP printer (photosmart 6380) takes any size (I printed 3 11 the other day), but it is broken, and gives error messages every 5 minutes, so it's not easy to work with in a timely manor (not to mention the fact that it's quite annoying :>)
